Clint Eastwood has a creative link to some of the best war films. His Dirty Harry sequel, Magnum Force, was written by John Milius and Michael Cimino. A few years later, the Vietnam War was realized in grand fashion with Milius co-writing Apocalypse Now and Cimino directing and co-writing The Deer Hunter. Eastwood would later direct war films like Heartbreak Ridge, Flags of Our Fathers, and culminating in American Sniper, each film depicting a different conflict. This Memorial Day commemorates all those who died for this country. Honor them.
