A personal website of movie reviews and observations by a movie fan. Primarily a movie site, there will be other entertainment related segments particularly with respect to television and cable/satellite broadcasts. Occasionally, other areas may involve sports, news, and just about anything that strikes my fancy. I hope you find this site useful for information and in helping to determine if a film is worth your while. I appreciate your interest and feedback.

A Rebel With a Cause
Movie and TV actor Robert Blake has passed at 89. A child actor with Our Gang and early films like The Treasure of the Sierra Madre, he began to star in important films like In Cold Blood and Tell Them Willie Boy Is Here. He was a standout starring in the cult classic Electra Glide in Blue (which had a poster adorning the captain's office in TV's Hill Street Blues). He guested on numerous talk shows but none more so than his dynamic interviews on The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson. His signature role was as the tough, streetwise detective on Baretta which earned him an Emmy Award. I actually met him at a friend's wedding on the West Coast decades ago and told him I enjoyed his work. That's how I choose to remember a career that spanned Hollywood's Golden Age to the New Hollywood.
